Problem: Customer’s Blu-ray has no power.

Cause: Possible reason for this is a defective IC1 chip. The factory improved this chip on SMPS boards manufactured

after March, 2010.

Solution: Replace the IC1 chip if you have the equipment to do so. If not, then replacing the SMPS will fix problem.

Problem: Disc does not play. Also, when you open the case and then put a disc in, you see the disc does not spin.

Cause: The player may have a defective axle. Axle defects occurred on some of the earlier production models before

the axel was reinforced. See picture below.

Solution: Replacing the loader is the easiest solution. This problem should not happen with any loader manufactured

after April.
