Language and input
Change the settings for text input. Some options may not be available depending on the
selected language.
Language
Select a display language for all menus and applications.
Default
Select a default keyboard type for text input.
Google voice typing
To change the voice input settings, tap .

Choose input languages
: Select input languages for text input.
•
Block offensive words
: Set the device to prevent the device from recognising offensive
words in voice inputs.
•
Offline speech recognition
: Download and install language data for offline voice input.
Samsung Chinese IME
To change the Samsung Chinese IME keyboard settings, tap .
•
Input Mode
: Add more keyboard layouts or text input modes to the input selection
panel.
•
Space key to input association
: Set the device to enter the highlighted Chinese word
when you tap the space bar.
•
Fuzzy Pinyin Input
: Select Fuzzy pinyin pairs so that you can easily enter Chinese
characters that are similar in phonetic spelling.
•
Handwriting setting
: Customise settings for handwriting mode, such as recognition
time, pen thickness, or pen colour.
•
English Prediction
: Activate predictive text mode to predict English words based on your
input and show word suggestions.
