Settings
(Menu 5.5.2)
You can change the settings for the answering
machine feature. The following options are
available:
Activate
: allows you to turn on or off the
answering machine feature.
Screen Setting
: allows you to turn on or off the
screening feature, which enables you to listen to a
message while a caller is leaving it.
Time setting
: allows you to set the length of time
the phone waits before answering a call.
Record my greeting
: allows you to record your
own greeting message.
To record a greeting:
1. Press the Record soft key and record your
greeting of up to 30 seconds by speaking into
the microphone.
2. When you have finished, press the Stop soft key.
The display shows the following options:
•
Replay
: plays back the recording.
•
Re-record
: discards the recording and
enables you to record a new greeting.
•
Save
: saves the recording.
3. When you are satisfied, select
Save
and press
the
Select
soft key.
4. Enter a name for the greeting and press the
OK
soft key.
Select the greeting
: allows you to select a
greeting to be used, either your message or one of
the pre-recorded messages.
